BBO: V3 & coping with Covid19 & NEW IAC MEMBERS
« on: April 03, 2020, 11:39:13 AM »
Everyone has noticed how bbo population quadruplicated since the pandemics started. They do FANTASTIC job staying online, but we all experience big problems, specially our TDs. As most do not read BBO news, pls check those links:

https://blog.bridgebase.com/2020/04/01/info-when-to-create-a-tournament/

IAC got many new members, most unused playing online, pls see following links to learn how to do things in bbo V3 html version.

Our warmest thanks to BBO  !H and its staff for great work they do and give us place to play ! Please help by not logging in unless you plan to play or watch, allow others to join and play with less risk of breaking the system.

I can post regarding the effect of BBO changes due to a rapid (sarcastic understatement) increase on the IAC site. It appears I can no longer post on BBO itself as discussion has been cut-off in the areas I looked. It is a shame that BBO  shows little to no consideration to all the many Tourney Clubs I and others belong to due to an excessive mount of growth on BBO most likely related to the coronavirus. I am happy for the talk lessons on V2, but my "brain" cannot tolerate V3, even for daily play in Main Bridge Club (for instance). I don't know for a fact, but I assume the "pay tourneys" are thriving. I'm positive that the rest of BBO play is struggling. BBO has been my "home" for many years due to my income level and entertainment level and as recommended by my former Neurologist as a way for brain growth regarding a serious brain condition, to brighten my brain. I cannot tolerate any change to my brain such as those caused by the BBO commercials which flash. V3 appears to be making my brain function worse, instead of better. And I am finding it more difficult (sarcastic understatement) to find playing time. Curls77 you have my permission to relay this memo to an appropriate site or location if you can find one that is open. I have contacted BBO Support, without a reply at this time. Support, in the past,  have been very good on follow up. Thank you for not giving up on IAC. I hope in the end that BBO does not "crash and shatter".
