Asking for Aces
« on: March 15, 2018, 11:17:54 AM »
I was told that there is a system/way of asking for Aces except one.
For instance, after a suit agreement in spades, if you have a void in Diamonds and wish to know how many aces your partner has except diamonds, instead of 4NT you bid 5 Diamonds and your partner will bid 5 Hearts with no ace (or the ace of Diamonds), 5 Spades with one ace, etc.
Have anyone heard about such an option of asking for Aces except one?

Exclusion Blackwood - if the trump suit is agreed, a LEAP to the 5 level (or 4S if hearts are trump) indicates a void in the suit and triggers RKC excluding the void suit.  Here are a couple of useful links.
