Happy Holidays to all
A.      2 S   Michaels to show H and D    :  anything else may lose the H suit
B.      3 N   9 tricks are easier than 10    3 H may be the winning bid
C.      3 H    my LHO rates to have a good hand, I am trying to make it harder for him to bid again
D.      Rdbl   I am a point short but 1 N and 1 S do not seem better
E.      b3    3 D     although I  considered 2 N for a long time
F.       4 C  (splinter)   my p must have 5 decent Diamonds:  I have first round control in 3 suits.
G.      2 N  11 hip     I considered 1N but we are non vulnerable v. Vul at Matchpoints
H.      Ace  !D  The K rates to be on my left anyway....  and now I can look at dummy

A.  2 C     I think this is one of the hardest problems ..  You have 10 hcp but such a flat hand....  but this gives partner a lead if he happens to be leading + you can certainly return to Diamonds
B.  Double  You have tolerance for either minor suit and you have to let Partner know that you do NOT have Spades.  If you had Spades you would bid them.  ....a responsive double here seems right.
C.  Double ...Balancing doubles are not always perfect.  If partner bids Spades , you can bid Clubs and he should know you were under pressure and have Hearts but not Spades.
D.  3 H   You have a good hand and two suits....let partner know.
E.   2 D    4th suit forcing seems perfect
F.  ....Board a match:  oh, how I hate that event!!  Seems to me the only way to win BAM is to bid 3 N  and that is my bid .
G.  3 D   bidding out the pattern of my strong hand.
H.   A Diamonds......  just in case Declarer made this 3 N bid with a singleton K Diamonds.  My partner rates to hold Diamonds here...  Declarer is ready for a H, S , or Club lead for sure.

I feel like a kindergartner doing these problems.  However, I feel they have real value..  Wish more of the IAC players would participate.  .....maybe then I would not be embarrassed at my poor decisions.   ;)
A.  Pass
B.  5D
C.  2N     Although I considered Dbl as the start of lebensohl sequence
D.  1N     Although 2 D has some appeal.
E.   2S     Forcing more info from partner
F.  Dbl  then Dbl again
G.  3N   Imps we want to bid Vul Game:  Vul partner could have an outside card.
H.  4S  Why is the opening lead problem always the most difficult?  4S seems to be the least expensive ...I hope.

Hi Folks,  Thank you for starting this discussion.
A.  3  !S  Let's find out more about p's hand
B.  4  !S   We have at least 10 cards in  !S's.  If p has a fit in  !D , he can go forward.
C.  3 !S  No help for p, but I want to be invitational.  4sf  seems too much.
D.  3 !D  4SF ...  We have at least game in  !H
E.  6  !H  Opps bid sound preemptive to me... Partner has "stuff" or would Dbl the 4 !S bid since we are VUL
F.  Pass then 3 !D
G.  4 !H  7 card suits are meant to be trump.  The AQ !C rates to be in the right location.
H.  J !S  , looks passive to me
