I forgot to submit! missed it.
I am sorry to hear that. But I have a story that tops just about all "forgot" stories.
I went through college graduation in June of 1960, getting a slip of paper that could soon be exchanged for a a diploma. I had a local summer job at Control Data and would be starting grad school in the fall. Then I got a job offer at NASA out in Maryland that paid better and sounded more interesting so I accepted that, quit my job at Control Data, and convinced my landlady to let me out of my lease. Next day I got a note from the Univ saying that I had received an incomplete in one of my classes and would not be graduating until that was settled.
I was immediately out the door and over to the U, the prof wasn't in but I found him strolling around campus. He explained the incomplete as "I lost your final exam, but not to worry, I found it again, I'll be changing your grade".
There were further wrinkles to this story but the bottom line is that I survived without either a heart attack or a murder conviction and I had a good summer out in Maryland. My official graduation date is August instead of June but that's ok.
So relax, forgive yourself, and mark your calendar for next month.
